Portrait of Angela Hudson

Dr. Angela Hudson is assistant professor in the School of Nursing at University of California, Los Angeles. Angela teaches maternity-newborn nursing, and she also is a family nurse practitioner who has served as a volunteer clinician for Planned Parenthood and internal medicine practice. Dr. Angela’s prior research and publications addressed symptom experiences and symptom management strategies among women living HIV/AIDS or women undergoing the menopausal transition. However, Angela also loves interacting with youth and young adults! Currently, her research pertains to health promotion and primary prevention interventions for at-risk youth. She serves as an "adult supporter" for the Los Angeles Chapter of California Youth Connection, a youth-driven agency whose mission is to promote participation of foster care youth in policy development and legislative change to improve the foster care and child welfare systems. As Faculty-in-Residence, Angela’s programming activities revolve around academic enhancement and support, health promotion, safety, and all aspects of creative arts. Students always are welcome to drop by her apartment at Hedrick Summit for coffee, tea, or just to chat!
