Dr. Kelly Lytle Hernandez is an Assistant Professor in the UCLA Department of History and Associate Director of the UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center. Her research interests are in twentieth-century U.S. history with a concentration on race, migration, and state violence. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on topics such as California history, immigration history, and police and prisons in America.
