Welcome to Hedrick Hall 2009-2010!

Hello Bruin Family!
Hedrick Hall is an energetic environment where students have a variety of opportunities to get involved on their own floor and within the larger community. Sitting at the top of "the Hill," Hedrick is where approximately 1 out of every 5 first year students begin their lives as Bruins. While open to all students and maintaining a small group of returning residents in their second or third years, the majority of our community is made up of freshmen new to UCLA. Our programs and activities are often targeted towards helping our students make new friends and learn their way around campus. We have a long tradition of being a fun yet relaxed community where students find a sense of "home" and belonging.

The Hedrick Hall ORL team is one of the largest on the hill with 24 Resident Assistants (2 per floor community), a building government cabinet (HHRA) of 9 members, a Residential Learning Center Consultant to provide technology education, a Faculty in Residence to help students navigate the University and succeed academically, an Assistant Resident Director, and a Resident Director. We're also the home of the Director of Residential Life!

Hedrick Hall was built in 1964 and was named Hedrick Hall in honor of Earle Raymond Hedrick, Vice President and Provost of UCLA from 1937 until 1942.
