Welcome to Hitch Suites, your home away from home for the 2008-2009 academic year! Hitch is as close to an apartment style residence as it gets, while still having all the amenities, convenience and experience of living on the "hill"! Nestled in the idyllic wilderness of Bel Air/UCLA, adjacent to Sunset Recreation and near Easton Stadium, Hitch is an ideal setting to mix, mingle and BE! Hitch is located within the Hedrick Court area which it shares with Summit and Hedrick communities. Hitch is distinctive in its presence as a retreat from the hustle and bustle of other large areas, making it easy to study and develop lifelong friendships. As a group of thoughtful, passionate individuals, we pride ourselves on being a complex not physically connected to the other buildings, but which still maintains the distinction of being an outgoing and fun group that is committed to both UCLA and external communities.
The Hitch theme this year is, "ALOHA: Get "Hitched" in Hawaii!"....don’t be surprised if upon your arrival you receive a traditional Hawaiian lei greeting from our staff and actually feel transported to your very own tropical island! We will be taking part in our annual Hedrick court carnival as well as having lots of tropical themed events such as a luau and beach bonfire! Trust me, you’re first week as a Bruin is going to be as smooth as an island breeze.....Through creative programming and community building, Hitch has continued to be a student favorite year after year. In fact, Hitch is famous for large and active floor governments whose leadership remains consistent throughout the year.
