Welcome to the heart of the hill!
A terrace is a level field built on the top of a hillslope to improve cultivation. So this year, think of Rieber Terrace as your foundation at the heart of the residence hill, from which to draw motivation to get the most out of your collegiate experience. The Rieber Terrace team is equipped with the tools to help you achieve your academic and social goals. 15 Resident Assistants, 8 Student Leaders, Residential Learning Center Consultant, Student Health Advocates, 1 live-in Resident Director (Kirk White), 1 live-in Assistant Resident Director (Tiffany Gates), and 1 live-in Faculty-in-Residence (Dr. Kelly Lytle-Hernandez, Professor of History)...all here dedicated to provide you a well-rounded community living experience.
As Rieber Terrace enters its second year, our vision is to continue our newly established traditions as well as partner with you to create new ones. As the newest residence hall, opportunites to make your mark as a building leader are limitless. We just need your energy, enthusiasm, spirit, ideas, commitment, creativity, zest, zeal, pizzazz, quirkiness, wisdom, wit, talent, humor...ultimately, we just need YOU! You are the heart of the building, and we are the heart of the Hill. Welcome home.

Suiting our population’s needs, we hope to develop a programmatic emphasis on career development, international study, and social responsibility. Living in Rieber Terrace will also be an opportunity to explore unfamiliar territory. From hip-hop classes to planting a community garden in South Los Angeles to training for your first marathon...What experience do you want living in Rieber Terrace? Team up with the Rieber Terrace leadership to make it happen.
