Setup Crew
Setup Crew staff are part-time technical workers for the Office of Residential Life. The Crew works as a team in the area of Program Services, under the supervision of the Program Support Coordinators. The Crew is led by Senior Setup Crew staff, who are also students. Hours are flexible to fit your schedule, and the range includes a Sunday-Thursday schedule from 7 a.m. -11:30 p.m. and Friday & Saturday schedule from 7 a.m. - 2:30 a.m..
Position Responsibilities include the following:
- Setting up, operating, and taking down equipment (lighting, audio, video, tables, chairs, etc.) for events sponsored by ORL or ORL staff members in the residential area including: classes, theatre productions, concerts, karaoke and DDR parties, and lots more!
- Operation of built-in sound, video, computer and lighting equipment in the residential locations. Venues include Bradley International Hall, Covel Commons, De Neve Plaza and the Northwest Campus Auditorium.
- Assist the Program Support Coordinators with inventory, repair and replacement of Residential Life programming equipment, as well as administrative tasks (office work, poster printing, laminating, etc.).
Prior experience in technical fields are welcome but not necessary. All Crew members receive paid training and continue to grow and learn on the job.
