OCHC Commissioners
The On-Campus Housing Council (OCHC) is a body of student representatives from each residents’ association, as well as appointed commissioners. OCHC has two main functions:
- Serve the On-Campus Housing Community by representing students’ concerns to housing professionals during weekly Policy Review Board meetings
- Organize all-Hill programs for residential students, such as Casino Night, the All-Hill Formal, and movie screenings.
We encourage everyone to become an active member of the community, share concerns and take advantage of the great selection of programs offered throughout On-Campus Housing.
To get involved in your community government, talk to your RA, who can introduce you to Cabinet Officers and share information about OCHC. Once you’ve done that you may wish to fill out the Student Leader Application for Residence Hall Councils and the On-Campus Housing Council (OCHC).
- Campus Relations Commissioner
- The Campus Relations Commissioner serves as the liaison between campus student organizations and OCHC.
- Communication Commissioner
- The Communication Commissioner is responsible for publicizing OCHC events and creating the OCHC newsletter.
- Correspondence Commissioner
- The Correspondence Commissioner is responsible for minute taking at OCHC and PRB meetings.
- Finance Commissioner
- The Finance Commissioner is responsible for the financial matters of the Council including budget preparation and check writing.
- Programming Commissioner
- The Programming Commissioner is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing OCHC activities and events, such as Movie Nights, Casino Night, Darkroom and the Formal.
- Electronic Media Commissioner
- The Electronic Media Commissioner is responsible for creating and maintaining the OCHC Website/page.
